30 years behind a keyboard.
Finally doing something about it.

Computers were never just a hobby, they were always the thing I came back to, even when my career went in other directions. Those directions included running a music store, customer service, operations, and a stretch doing technical consulting where I sat between software developers and the clients they were building for.

That consulting work taught me something more useful than any framework: things go sideways fast when communication breaks down. I learned to translate between the technical and the human, and that skill matters a lot more than most people realize when you're building something for a real business.

Eventually I decided to come back to the technical side properly and went back to school, picked up freelance work, and here we are. I genuinely enjoy this, which I think shows in the work.
