Remote Hands for Off-Site IT Teams

Eyes and hands on site for your IT department: inspections, cable checks, guided device swaps, documented tests, and screenshots and notes sent back to your team.

Temporary Project-Office Setup

Desk and IT deployment for project offices: equipment setup, connectivity checks, and coordinating internet providers and vendor visits.

Microsoft 365 & Workplace Tech

Routine user help, approved admin tasks, files and permissions, collaboration tools, and device onboarding where SDS has been authorized.

IT Asset Documentation

Equipment inventories, serial numbers, device locations, handover records and change logs, handled with care for sensitive data and credentials.

Moves, Changes & Demobilization

Moving and replacing equipment, disconnecting workstations, documenting returns, and coordinating device return or wiping under your IT and security policy.

In practice

SDS is the on-call technical contact for a four-bay golf simulator facility: hardware issues are handled on site, software issues are coordinated with the platform vendor's support, and a custom service desk tool for tracking issues across the bays is in development.

How engagements work

Clear scope, written record.

  1. 1Tell SDS what's needed. The issue, location, scope, timing, and who's authorized to approve the work.
  2. 2Confirm the details.Access, site safety requirements, and who's responsible for what, agreed with your IT team or vendors.
  3. 3On-site work.Scheduled visit, authorized work only. Anything outside scope is escalated to you, not improvised.
  4. 4Completion summary.A short written record of what was done, what was found, and any recommended follow-up.

FAQ

Common questions

Can SDS work under our remote IT department's direction?

Yes. That's what this service is built for. SDS works within the scope, policies and access your team approves, and reports back to them.

Do we need to sign up for fully managed IT?

No. You can book a single visit, a recurring block, or a defined project. Ongoing support is available but never required.

Can you set up a temporary construction or project office?

Often, yes. It's assessed case by case, depending on the size of the office, the equipment involved and the site's requirements.

Can you support multiple locations or larger deployments?

Larger jobs are scoped as projects. Where more hands are needed, SDS can coordinate qualified additional help, confirmed before the work is booked.

Do you offer after-hours or urgent work?

Sometimes, depending on availability, and by separate agreement. SDS does not offer guaranteed emergency or 24/7 response.

What should we send before booking?

The site location, a description of the issue or job, the equipment involved, an on-site contact, access and safety requirements, your timeline, and any instructions from your IT team.

Need someone on site?

Send the location, the job and your timeline. You'll get a reply within one business day with next steps.
